So, are we correct in assuming that said bugfixes/adds to modules won't actually apply to the modules that we pre-4.6.0 owners have?

Any reports of successful upgrades yet?  If so, thoughts?

lol, for some reason i love that analogy for it.  Referencing a bouncing betty to Hostbill Software.  Priceless.

Looks like I stepped on two.

and...

Here's the response on the trouble ticket from Mandrill:

Is Mandrill still working for anyone else who upgraded to 4.7.0?

What the heck is up with the vmware 5 module update?  wtf?  And the email one is the most troubling.  Considering i commented on the possibility of you know what.   At least by the errors it sounds like the remote server is denying you but how truthful is that.

When I tried to go and directly download the update of vmware5 there's a notice in the download area that says those of us who are pre-4.6.0 owners (actually, the date is given), all of the updates are and will be included in our regular downloads. Apparently it wasn't, and I was denied the download with the error, "you do not have permission blah blah".

On the Mandrill thang, I can assure everyone that my provider is not blocking outgoing mail to them. Hang on a minute while I call to confirm that....

I hear the phone ringing...

Oh! It's me on the line wanting to ask me a question about whether I'm blocking me from sending emails to smtp.mandrillapp.com!

Okay I just got off the phone with my provider (me), and they told me that no, they are in no way blocking connections or mails on any ports to smtp.mandrillapp.com.

I've got my smtp servers set back to my own now and they're sending mail just fine again.

Any suggestions folks?

I opened a kbkp *licensing* dept ticket regarding the vmware5 notification. We'll see how long, if ever, it takes to get a response.

As far as the mandrill blocking me? I'm pretty sure I dotted all the t's and crossed all the i's. Made sure I had added valid spf and dkim TXT RRs and validated the sending domain too.

Here again is the response I got from Mandrill - do you think this is a config issue on my end that I can correct? If so, lemme know where you think I might want to look and I'll do that - I so want to use Mandrill :)

Kindest regards,

I was only joking when i said KBKP will block it unless you use their "app" and they appear to possibly have done this.  This is NOT good and i'm sure as hell not upgrading right now.  Anyone else with as dev licence want to give the upgrade a shot

edit:

also wanted to say... you mean to tell me another place already replied to their support ticket? like oh my god!!

jeffrey404

Patrick,

I am not having any issues with the mandrill app. Works fine for me after the upgrade.

Paul

Jeffrey, I believe he's saying that HostBill is blocking connection to Mandrill for those who are connecting without using the KBKP-sold mandrillapp. As in, more illegal activity by "Kris".

jeffrey404

Paul,

That is what I meant. I am having no issues connecting of sending emails from hostbill to mandrill.
