Jeffrey, I believe he's saying that HostBill is blocking connection to Mandrill for those who are connecting without using the KBKP-sold mandrillapp. As in, more illegal activity by "Kris".

I really can't say for sure, since I was waiting until after the upgrade to configure Mandrill, which I did. The ticket reply is from a ticket that I opened at Mandrill themselves.

I don't want to (myself) jump to any conclusions about mandrill being blocked by HostBill until I have had an opportunity to fully investigate further, but the problem is, that logs on both ends are woefully lacking, so I'm going to need Mandrill's help in figuring this out.

What I can say, is that I've successfully connected and sent smtp traffic through accounts on several servers, other than the mandrill server, with no problems. My bad for not checking this first before the upgrade, but as Jeffrey404 has indicated, he's not having any issues, so I'm going to drill down further and see just what these issues might be otherwise.

As suspect as kbkp is, I can say that he hasn't done anything of the sort yet, so I do want to give the benefit of the doubt.

So in the meantime, let's just all take this as a report, and not read into it any further than that. I don't like to accuse someone of something when I'm not completely certain.

Paul,

That is what I meant. I am having no issues connecting of sending emails from hostbill to mandrill.

That's good to hear.  Are you a pre 4.6.0 user?  If so how about the vmware update?

okay, good. *phew*

and my VMWare 5 still shows as v1.0

As well, my CloudStack still shows as 3.0.x.20121026 (the original version), hence my question about those CloudStack updates and whether we're getting them or not.

Yes we are a pre 4.6 user. We dont use the VMware module so I can't comment on that one.

C'mon, more people upgrade..  I've been in debate with myself over to remain at the verison i'm at which works just fine for us or call it quits on updates.  Not sure what to do

I'm about to upgrade, I'll let everyone know if I can still use Mandrill.

I can confirm that Mandrill still functions properly.

Tallship, temporarily disable your firewall and see if that works. I get this issue sometimes and a simple flush usually fixes things.

I took the plunge and did an auto upgrade.  Really irritates me that a plugin (IPAM) was updated and i have no idea what's changed in it.

Anyhow screenshots to show success with mandrill as well.  You know you all enjoy the very unique file names as well :) (Busy desktop, didn't feel like searching so i made them stick out like a sore thumb lol)

Next week it's Paul's turn to go first ;)

Hah! Leap, but don't look. :)

@ Pat,
- You have the weirdest file names. You realize you've unintentionally increased the width of my file manager?

lmao, guess i'll stop doing that.  Not 100% sure if you can rename them but by all means if you can.  Late at night i tend to get irritated searching for things and it was late when i did the update lol!

I'm fine going first, I have almost nothing in production on HB (I've been testing this crap for 7 months) so I don't care if little things break. I have my full backups of 4.5.8, that's all that matters  :P
