Hi All,

Each time a staff member tries to create a ticket, the following error message appears:
Quote
ah oh! Something went wrong ...
PHP [4096]: Argument 2 passed to Mailnotifications::departmentEmailSettup() must be an instance of Mailer, null given, called in /var/www/html/includes/components/events/class.mailnotifications.php on line 1370 and defined IN includes/components/events/class.mailnotifications.php(1453)

The ticket is created but no notification to customer is ever sent
If the customer opens a ticket it works fine and staff get notifications

Using Hostbill 2014-09-11
SMTP for sending emails

Can anyone confirm or denies  this bug?

We defer upgrades by a set period before applying so have not hit this issue.

Have you reported this as a bug at the below link?

http://forms.hostbillapp.com/splv1/report-bug/create

We have found that the tool is a little clunky but they have given us feedback when the bug is registered.
Kind regards,

Good - keep checking every few days.  We have had a good response on that tool.  Ones that were not bugs were quickly reported (and right) and some other serious bugs were fixed quickly.

Any update on this?  I don't feel comfortable upgrading at the moment!  (Although I am going to with a full backup before hand at some-point).

I also can confirm that we have this issue.  A member of staff creates a ticket and the email notification fails.  I get the below error when looking in the email sending logs.

-------------------- ERROR MESSAGE BELOW -----------------

You must provide at least one recipient email address.

I have submitted a bug request as well: 1411214407

I have just rolled back to the version on 4th of September and the issue goes away.

So it looks like the 11th of September version is where the bug was introduced.

2014-09-19 version fixed the issue for me

BRJP

That is really odd - I definitely has the issue in version 19th Sep but does not occur in the 4th Sep version.

What is causing that?!

Did you erase ctemplates_c/ content ?

BRJP

I didn't.

Do you think that this would have helped?  (Just trying to rack my brain why clearing the cache would help in this issue).

I didn't have to do it, but won't hurt trying

Each time you use hostbill, smarty templates  creates a compiled version of the template in the cache, so  there is a change you are seeing an old version in the cache

Is safe to delete everything inside templates_c but index.php

BRJP

Thanks - Ill get the guys to give that ago next week.

We have extensive backups of everything so rolling forward and back is easy.

I have received the response from HostBill today saying the below:

This bug has been rejected. It was not a bug report or required informations were missing.

I need to roll forward again and see what happens.
