Component price even product is free

Hi all

Is there a way to configure component price even if the product is free? Example use case:

ABC Backup plan

component:
1GB - Free
2GB - $xxx
...

Component is upgradable.

create a field and set price to 0 then the next field set to $$ prices will adjust when component upgraded.

If main product is free i am not able to set price to components.  see attached.
