As you are probably already painfully aware, HostBill licenses are currently worth, and selling for only about $100.00 USD at this time max. That's what I think a license that included IPAM went for last week here on the forums too.

I'm willing to offer you $75.00 USD for your license at this time. Email me directly w/a link to this thread if you're interested. I buy HostBill licenses on a semi-regular basis nowadays and that is honestly all that HostBill is worth anymore, so if you're interested, shoot me an email and we can take care of the transfer of uid/pwd via a PayPal Transaction.

He said it was from 2012. So yes it would be a version that included everything. But... you'll still prolly have to upgrade to 4.5.8 before moving into the current versions if I'm not mistaken to pick up everything that was included in that very last version that included everything, so make sure you have a copy of HostBill version 4.5.8 since I don't think just downloading a current version will include all of those modules.

I think there's been a few threads here on the discussion list pertaining to that where people had to find that version after a catastrophic failure and that was the solution to make sure that they had all of the features.

You do understand the value of your hostbill license does not fluctuate with the indecisiveness of KBKP Software right?  He could put the price up to $10,000, it doesn't change the value of your license.

Like Patrick said, it really matters not what kbkp is setting his prices at. The market won't bear it and that's why the value of HostBill has plummeted far below even what you paid for it.

You should realize that just this last week another owned, pre 4.5.8 HostBill went for $100 right here in the marketplace on these very forums, and it included the IPAM module too.

That $75 - $100 range is pretty much the rate that HostBill is selling for on the Open Market now, and I've already traded 9 licenses for about those same numbers, don't have any real need for another one, and only offered $75  because I wouldn't mind making another $25 or $50 bucks selling the copy I got from you.

The price you think your HostBill license is worth is exceedingly beyond what those licenses are currently going for, but hey! It's a free market :) You can offer pretty much anything you own in this world for pretty much any price you like ;)

And you'll also need to provide the potential buyer with an actual HostBill ver 4.5.8 zip file so they can have all the modules installed out of the box - I don't think such would be the case if they just installed the very latest, since that was the fiasco a while back.

Anyway, I hope it all works for you and good luck with that :)

Agreed the older licenses that have all the modules are only worth about 75$ right now the newer ones that have the higher price tags I believe are worth less as you do not have everything included but I wouldn't buy that for no more then 60$ You do have the choices of other billing software but you can't find anything like the old hostbill that has everything in it, yet on the market. I know of a few that are building some but no matter what the amount of modules you received with the old hostbill license you can't compare it with whmcs or other billing platforms. I can also say that I have seen my share of bugs in this software but at least you don't have the amount of security holes that whmcs has now, but they are working on bringing in some security people to review the software and hopefully they start testing more before releasing updates. ;D

I for one would love to see someone come out with a billing platform that has some great order templates that work and are customizable with different hosting options that can tie in easily with your 3rd party software. Take all the old and new module of hostbill and whmcs as well as what modulesgarden puts out, roll it in a great interface that can handle tickets, chat, billing and have the ability of customizing everything in between and then license it monthly or yearly for a fixed price. Then make sure everything works without bugs keeping most of it opensource will help with both the development of the software and not the mention security will be the key as the code is open we can see and fix what needs to be fixed and update the community, not to mention that it will also help the growth of the industry. Charge for the stable core of hostbill and keep everything included but opensource and you have a good product, fix all the bugs and you will have a better product, have open communication with your clients for free as this should be included in the licensing cost and you will have a great product. Hostbill just needs better leadership/management if they want to stay in the business. The way it is now i'm sure that some of the ones with the older licenses have moved on as they needed something that was either more stable or had different features. I for one have stayed so far with hostbill because I have everything I need with the older license but I have been looking at other software as I can never be sure of the direction that Hostbill is headed and you should always have a good exit strategy. I can tell you that there were 2 reason I didn't move to whmcs 1 security is a problem for whmcs but if they are fixing it by bringing in others then the only thing else that was keeping me from moving was they didn't have anything for proxmox until recently modulesgarden put out some great software for proxmox which has all the feature that i have asked hostbill to add to theirs and with no luck in a response from hostbill in any request either forum or tickets so my interested again in moving to whmcs is just about complete Just want to see what happens with security. Cost to move to get all the module I need would be under 700$ but the headache of dealing with the migration is also keeping me here for the moment LOL. 8)
