PowerDNS for Hostbil setup help

I am new to PowerDNS.

I have followed several guides to set it up including

I think I have done everything correctly but I get this error when I try to add the server app
Error: SQLSTATE[28000] [1045] Access denied for user 'powerdns_user'@'xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx.unifiedlayer.com' (using password: YES)

(ip address has been changed to all x, it shows the IP of my hostbill install).

Any help would be great
