cpanel2 plugin broken

As of last week, the cpanel2 plugin is no longer working. The cPanel support determined that Hostbill uses the old XML API and never updated to the newer JSON api.
The support reply was:

"Removed XML output in API functions
In cPanel & WHM version 74, we removed the Extensible Markup Language (XML) output format from all of our API functions. We previously deprecated XML output in cPanel & WHM version 66.

Basically if you update cPanel, you break Hostbill integration until when (if?) Hostbill decides to fix it.
