Unanswered posts are accumulating...

I'm concerned that we are starting to develop a small collection of unanswered posts here. Granted, some of those threads pertain to questions that would best be served if we were all running software that had support, but considering HostBill comes with no support I was wondering if there's a way for us to implement something like what LQ has, where they send out messages to opt'd-in members an email that contains unanswered posts/questions.

Eventually, someone might be able to address some of those issues - otherwise, we might start seeing duplicate/similar posts for those very same problems.

I think it's building up from the disinterest in Hostbill these days.  Though we still use it for now, we are moving a part of the business over to Blesta and possibly the rest over the UBS.  I haven't updated our install since the fake "enterprise" edition.  I still frequent the forums here and there but this software is pretty much EOL with very select few who still see no wrong in what KBKP is doing.

You'll always have the Hostbill fanboys that will defend it but realistically i don't see many of us using it much longer, rendering these forums a ghost town.

I agree with Patrick. I'm not applying any more updates and trying to figure out what to do next. Everything that I'm using in HB right now is working and I'm afraid to screw it up with an update.

Such a shame as HB is really good software and there is nothing else out right now that comes close, but I need to be able to sleep at night so will settle for less.

Dido Patrick and webguyz.

I'm not here much because I know it isn't improving.  When the forum was setup I thought things might start to improve, but it seems like Kris is getting business advice from his crack dealer, and so... busy working on Blesta move.

Sorry everyone.  I'll be around on and off for a few months but not like before.

Hey, you have to take care of your own first.  I haven't played with Blesta lately so i don't know if another beta was released, so i'm just waiting until the full version is released and the fact 2 factor auth is included free is nice.  It's not as polished but i have to give Paul some credit.  It's funny you said what you did though, i thought the same thing.  These forums should force Hostbill to improve as we'll help out and allow the software to mature.

Unfortunately it seems to have continued down it's regular path and here we sit.  Unfortunate really.

Yeah, here we sit.

For me the deathblow was the no third party apps.  If KBKP can't even deal with the bugs in the core, why would anyone buy an app from them?  If he hadn't have done that, I would have bought another license a couple months back, even knowing the bugs and erratic history of the software.

I'm waiting for Blesta 3 as well before any move, but we have other aspects of the business we can invest our energy into in the meanwhile.  I'm not "sold on Blesta" like some others but it does look very promising, and we are planing to migrate that way.

That's why I was really hoping that Lawrence would take the urging to create boards for discussion on the other billing systems to heart. Although the WHMCS boards are adequate, I don't really care much for the Blesta boards, except when I'm interested in making sure that Phillips data should be in on the loop on some topic.

beautiful

I am thinking of selling my hostbill unbranded but have kept it just to play around
fortunately never used it for the last 1 year .   :D

Patrick's right, it's the disinterest in HostBill. HostBill has lost all it's flair. I actually never really intended on these forums getting popular anyway, so it's no worries.

I'll be a bit more active on these forums soon, I'm in the process of migrating 2 of my HostBill installs to an in-house platform. I'll be keeping 1 HostBill install naturally.
