You and i both but if an update comes out tomorrow (which it should a we're now 'bi-weekly') i'm still nervous to let an update lapse and possible issues upgrading from 2 versions back.  That said, i'm incredibly reluctant to update

There is no difference in speed on the latest update.

Kris has stated to me that the Enterprise version is not compatible with the standard version since the install process is different. It's basically what I suspected - a forked version of HB with enterprise features being added in. I'll wait and see what turns up from it but I'm considering buying it if he adds worthwhile features that justify the cost.

You're the only person on the web that admits they'd buy it.  1 of 4 things.  You're Nibb, you're Andrew you're Kris or you can excuse my ignorance but naive to what's going on around you.  By all means, go buy it, show us a screenshot from PayPal of your $999 purchase.  .  I'd love evidence that ANYONE would pay for this.  I mean no disrespect to you what so ever but any business that can afford $999 (We can, and i'm sure many on here can) and with a straight face say they  trust Hostbill to send them $1000 needs an accountant or similar.

KBKP is in no state of affairs for anyone to be dishing out $1000 unless their in their pocket or foolish.1

Sir, you are entitled to your own opinion but you do not have to be condescending to me when you reply to my posts. Just like you I am also entitled to my own personal opinion on the software and just because I don't have such a negative outlook does not mean that I am naive.

As i said, please excuse my ignorance or better yet with all due respect, it is about you being naive.  This situation is no different than everyone on the web yelling at you to run from www.company_abc.com because they are known to screw with customers and company_abc has an under 10% positive review 90% negative.  Yet you or Bill, Joe or Bob still insists even with all the evidence in the world and so many upset customers, you still would choose to endorse company_abc and buy from them.

You went wrong with me when you said "Trust has nothing to do with my decisions to purchase".  This tells me you in no way run a successful business or one you at the very least care about.  People, businessmen and women do not intentionally put their businesses in harms way.

This isn't about me having any issues with you personally, it's your being very to be blunt foolish to buy something when 99% of everyone tells you to STAY AWAY  at least for now until KBKP smartens up and we all hope becomes better.  I'm a customer going on 2 years.  I'm not some 30 day old customer who is blowing smoke and angry because he didn't answer me in 18 hours instead 19 hours.

Let's ignore all this for a moment.  Let's talk honestly, do you understand business law/international law, EU law?  If so, keep an eye out, a post is coming on these forums of all the laws Hostbill is breaking under EU law.  These aren't little minor issues, these are very, very serious laws as any business run under EU law has to follow EU law VERY closely or risk being shutdown.  You're about to supposedly invest $999 in to a software even though i've told you all this, even though there are nothing but bad reviews.

All i'm saying is WAIT, let the dust settle and see where the cards fall.  It'll either be bad, or for the better.

QuoteYou have been trying to pick a fight with me since my first post and I really don't appreciate it. I can understand why Kris removed the official forums if it was filled with people like you.

You think THIS is why he removed it?  I guess that's why he also placed $99 pre-sales? LOL... grow up

I specifically said that I'd only buy the enterprise version after seeing what new features he releases for it and if I personally thought it was worth the $999. But hey, you go flap your mouth about how terrible HB is all you want. For your information, I've had hostbill since 2011 and have never had a issue with Kris or the software itself. But you go ahead and keep flapping your gums about how stupid I am for buying the software and sticking with it through all of the negative feedback. Your attitude is pretty damn poor in my opinion.

Patrick

Bud, you're the only one resorting to insults "Flapping my gums" ?, "Flap my mouth" ? -  (You do know naive is not an insult right?) Just did a search in the page and the only person who mentioned the word "stupid" was you on both pages.  You have now commented on my attitude about 4-5 times as if it means something different on the rinse and repeat.  I've done nothing more then try and discuss with you the pitfalls to a software you're trying to endorse.  You're also not a very honest person  You haven't owned the software since 2011 - As per this quote below.

Not too sure if I'd pay even $99 for Modern Panel. It's basically a reskinned next gene with small modifications. Kind of interested in SidePad though - would love to see that.

I'm sure  you'll try and figure out some sort of rebuttal but your 3rd post on this site said it all.  So continue with the prepubescent comments because that makes you appear very mature.  I've quite literally done nothing but try to help a fellow out avoid a software temporarily.  If it was something permanent, none of us would be here anymore as we still hold a tiny bit of hope.

Due to the policy changes within KBKP, we existing customers have an easy way to detect who is a grandfathered and non-grandfathered customer.

edit:

Oh and on the foolish comment, if you took that as calling you stupid.  Here is a quick explanation of the difference.

A person whose action or behavior shows that they are not sensible and show a lack of good judgment, is said to be foolish.
You say that someone or something is stupid to indicate that you do not like it or that it annoys you.

You haven't read my last post in that thread obviously.

Gee thanks. Appreciate the support! What a nice community we have here..

Anything else you want to whine about?  You've turned to insulting me, you're complaining about a community because i've suggested avoiding the enterprise version.  You keep knocking me or this site or the negative reviews to the software.  If you have an issue with people strongly advising you don't do anything yet, then find another site.  I've told you a few times already, a class action law suit MIGHT happen and therefore it is in your best interest to adhere the advise.  Clearly you use the software for shared hosting only and must use 3rd party support system otherwise you WOULD see things broken, especially since you said you "just upgraded".

Now you can grow up, lay off the attacks on me and the community as they have nothing to do with what i'm talking to you about so we can have a civilized conversation or you can keep acting like a child.

Haha. That's rich - so because you can't find any other means of attacking me you're now asking me to find another site? Oh man, my sides are killing me.

But I'll stop "insulting" you now that I've said my peace and proven to you that I am actually and older client and that I'm "being honest" about it after all. Oh, FYI I only use HB for my business and no "third party support system". Quit making assumptions about me and my business already. I also use it for more then "shared hosting only" not that you'd really give a damn.

Patrick

This is very fitting to your maturity.   Going round and round and round

This was a matter of sarcasm, not a matter of assuming anything your business does.  It was simply stating that is the only way you would have zero issues as the support system is broken at the moment, the onapp, vmware and few other modules are also broken.  This had nothing to do with assumptions, just a figure of speech.

Maybe if you hadn't been so condescending I wouldn't have been so rude to you. On the other hand, I really don't like it when people insult me or my business and then tell me I'm a liar. This above reply of yours clearly shows exactly how mature you are however.
