[Module] Twitter Module Error

After upgrading to 4.7.2, the twitter module does indeed seem to be running w/o slinging errors around in the logfiles - but it still doesn't display in the modernpanel theme.

It has been broken for a while, in fact i think it never worked with modernpanel theme

Upgrade went smooth, nothing weird/broken detected

Yes it never did work in modernpanel lol. I think I can edit the template or something to fix that if I dig through one of Patrick's HowTo's on the 'guiedes and quick fixes' board here, but I'm not sure about that yet, and have concerns about changes being overwritten w/each upgrade, so I'll may have to make some special arrangements/procedures before customizing that stuff (One thing that is really bugging me... All of the pages in the system still have a Copyright of 2012).

Anyway, since I'm not much of a twatter, only really reporting system and network related items for the most part so far, I only found out by accident that twitter had changed their API when doing something on the WHMCS boards. If it weren't for that, I might not have known why the twitter plugin broke since it was was merely automatically disabled in the cronjobs and never showed on the website anyway.

From what I can see in the logs, The error first occurred (and this is presumably when twitter cut over their API) at about:

2013-06-11 15:35:03 PHP Error PHP [Error]: Cannot use object of type stdClass as array IN includes/modules/Other/class.twitter.php(192)

It's a low priority as things go, but I do want to include G+ posts and my twits on the site sometime soon.

Anyway...

I did open a ticket... er... bug report at kbkp in the bugtracker there regarding the issue. Only one of three that I've ever bothered reporting. I haven't checked to see if that's where the impetus for fixing the bug was spawned or even if it's been marked as closed, but for some reason, it really really bugged me (no pun intended) that the module was broken lol.

I haven't had any issues yet Patrick :)

On another note. I was having a lot of issues (with all versions) related to ticket imports.

Apparently, kbkp coded the parsing of email addresses in a totally boneheaded way so that when the support department is Support@KewlCompany.com and someone sends an email to support@kewlcompany.com it borks!

It took me a while to figure out that HostBill is braindead on that point.

What a boneheaded regex foopah!

With branding being so important, case shouldn't matter in email related functions.

Matt

We've installed it for : Dedicated Servers Manager: Support for Blade Servers http://hostbillapp.com/features/apps/dedimgrblade/

However, after doing update and installing the files on the download page listed, it still doesnt show the option for blade servers ?  which is very handy for us.

I'm looking for screenshots that I thought had been posted regarding these updates to the vmware5 module updates in 4.7.2 as well as the ones in 4.7.0. I'm almost certain I posted progress on what wasn't working in the autoupdate and thought it was here in this thread. hm... Maybe I posted elsewhere. I'll have a look around.
