I've finally gone and opened a bug report here:

https://help.hostbillapp.com/?cmd=bugtracker&action=bug&id=184

if it's important to you that modules we are entitled to be included in working condition, and fixed when they are broken, then feel free to vote it up there, for what it's worth.

A good petition Topic would also be "Please fix VMware 5 module and include those updates in the next HostBill update".

EDIT: That petition request has been posted here: http://www.hostbillforums.com/index.php/topic,178.msg1594.html#msg1594

Feel Free to discuss the matter here in this general discussion thread, including any thanks due to kbkp if and when they fix the broken module, as well as making sure to sign the petition if and when it is accepted as such :)

It was released as part of our offerings, and we're entitled to it, it was broken, and since then, like pretty much every other single provisioning module, order page template, payment gateway, etc., it is being sold to new users as a separate product - but all of us who were HostBill owners a/o 4.5.2 or 4.5.4 or 4.5.6 (I can't remember exactly the version or date when it was released) are entitled to it.

We're also entitled to a version that works - it is being reported by people who apparently became hostbill owners after the module was released as one of the first in the group of paid modules, that it works for them. It should work for us too, the owners who have owned hostbill prior to the time when it and everything else was no longer included in hostbill.

We should have our VMware 5 module and in good working order too. We're all (Most of us here, anyway) entitled to it.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I created this for you as you already know, I PM'ed you.  The link for the petition is http://www.hostbillforums.com/index.php/topic,184.0.html

I absolutely agree with you Bradley,  It's a sad day when you 'accidentally' include something for free and then take it away hoping no one notices.

I'll repeat it here... I bought HostBill mainly because of the purported VMWare module. But that was only for VMWare 4.1, very old. So I opened a ticket for VMWare 5, and a month or two later, was told they had time to work on it, if I provided an environment. So I provided an ESXi host machine for the upgrade work to be done on the module to make it v5 compatible. That was released two weeks later... broken. I was never asked to test it, even after offering, he just released it, broken. Then it appeared as a premium module, working.

This is not like some magical new module, this is a tweaked/updated v4.1 module, that a customer helped come about, so we damn well should be "entitled" to it. Or else I want to be paid for the use of my ESXi server during "development." Which was $10/hour... or was it $350/hour. Actually it was $500/minute but I just changed it back to $90/day.
