With what I have analyzed, the input values for account type are coded directly within the template files.

Although, I was able to change the values for account type for the client area and use it, it was still showing the default values for client profile in the admin area even after making changes. It will also not be efficient making changes to the template files as several files might need to be updated for this to work properly.

What you can probably do is create a sub-types field for the default account types:

Eg: For Organization type - sub types can be Proprietorship, Non-profit

So, here is what you would do:

  • Create a new field, give it a Field name like Organization Type
  • Set the Applies to as Organization
  • Set the Field Type as Select Box and enter the values(Proprietorship, Non-profit) as required
  • Configure other options for the new field and Save

Now when you select the account type as Organization, you would be presented with the Organization Type field to select from.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.

I gave up and did a similar method to this.

Do you know how to automatically link clients to a specific client group? E.g.

Client selects sole  trader > Hostbill automatically links them to > Sole Trader Group

HB by default does not have this option but, it is possible.

I will take a look into it and let you know.

Thanks.
