Iam currently evaluating many Options for change in our software.
Hostbill was one we wanted to evalute but i couldnt get a Demo so i started digging and found this Forums rather quickly

Well what to say. Sad to see in which state this software really is and you guys probably saved me 5k or at least days of researching
Funny that i got answer from sales withing minutes requesting a demo, but the answer was practically hey we offer 30 days money back so its save to try ^^

Shure and if i aint get it back ill travel over the big sea and knock on his door or what?

whmcs is not really an option because of their irregular threatment of invoices (its practically illegal within the EU to use a software that can alter invoices after they are printed, let alone the chaos that it represents in itself.
they practically using proforma invoices (i think americans say statements) and regualr invoices as the same more or less, that is not only illegal in the Eu also the laws force us to a whole different workflow that would end in a nightmare)
also the fact that basic features are not included but to be payed by annualy fees from third party devs isnt really a way togo.
not so much about the money even it tripploes the real operation costs, but you never know what happens if one of those third partys give up, you need to deal with serveral support teams and so on.. naa beside all other downsides on whcms those are dealbreakers

known others:
now the other optiosn like besta, clientexec and whatever seem to have the same issue, just with less features.


where i want to go from here?

in first line iam looking for an integrated system for odering and billing and managing customers for recurring licenses.
ofc webhosting, domains, and other stuff woudl be good too (specially domains is a must, webpackages not so much since we try to switch all from shared to vps hosting, were not cheap anyway so i can live without automatisation on that end.
were not mass hositng , more in the business hostings and service aerea.

but we have masses on software licenses, everything from office 365, to antivirus products.

right now were using an internal software that is far from suited for that special tast, it works, but barely to be realistic.
now integration into ordering, automatisation on some parts, all that would be very nice to have

so if anyone could help me out here
