HB cannot provision a Cloudstack VM using templates

We have cloudstack virtual server products where the user can choose to either install an Operating System from an ISO, meaning the customer goes through the process of setting up the server parameters such as date/time, network settings, root password, etc. or we have created some templates to avoid this process for customers.

Problem: When we choose a template to provision the VM, the process always fails with HB reporting error "O/S Template not fund[sic]".

Using ISO's works fine.

Both template and ISO's are in the same directory on cloudstack.  We tested creating VMs in Cloustack using the templates and it works fine.  Its only when we try to provision a VM under HB we get the problem.

Any ideas why it works OK for ISO's but not for templates?

You might have to log a call with KBKP for this one unless someone else in the community can help.

Any joy yet on this matter? It's at the crux of the deployment of products and services, and I'm interested in knowing where this issue lies and how you have addressed it thus far.

Kindest regards,

Bradley

Hi,

No joy on solving this issue yet. I was hoping someone else has been able to use or test.  Any other users out there using cloudstack?
