Affiliates - Your view?

Are people using the Affiliate features of HsotBill?

If so, whats the pros and cons learnt by using and your general view on the experience?

I see affiliate being used for existing customers who make referrals and receive an incentive for doing it.

We tried using it but it didn't support our reseller model of business,  ie, reseller sells service to customer, 'we' sell service to reseller at a discounted rate.   Reseller has the contract with end user, so we only need to invoice the reseller for the service.  However, 'end-user' still has the order/account in Hostbill in order to use customer portal for managing their services.  But invoice/payment via portal is not applicable to the end-user, their invoicing and payment is with the reseller.

Couldn't find a way to set this up using Hostbill and the affiliate module.

I absolutely agree with this.  If KBKP can achieve with HostBill what Parallels has achieved with PLESK, then this would be a great feature.  PLESK system is split into Customers and Resellers and covers your two main customer types - HostBill would be great if it could do the same.
