URL/IP license changes no more possible without the HB Support

i don't know if i been blind, but it seems to be that you can no more change your license domain / IP etc.

So what i read there is now "To change your license location, domain, please contact support" What means, i have to spend $75 to change this things and if i have problems with the license or want to move this to a other URL i can no more do it without the HB Support ......

Am i the only one that has see this?

Hi Danny,

As its license related, can't you log a licence ticket rather than support ticket?

Yep - just tried it.  In Services -- Licenses go to Report LicenseProblem.  You can contact support there.

Hi,

there is still the link for "Report License problem" but the thing here is, what i want to say with this, that before you can do it all yourself, to change the domain and IP without to contact them.

And now you have to contact them and then you must wait hours, days or weeks, till they change this for you? and i don“t know why they have removed, that you can change this yourself as it was before all the time.

If you click on "Report License problem" you still get the popup to enter your problem, but i think they have forgot to remove this link, because the text says "please contact the support" to change this.

I think HB are trying to add a layer of control - possible to stop license transfers?

However, you should not have to pay to have your license moved and I do understand the frustration when you could perform this operation yourself.

Incidently, the last time I contacted License support they responded within the day.

okay, this can also be a possible reason for this. But what if the new owner take the complete account with same name etc. then they will also change it and you still can use the license.

I have now used "Report License problem" only to test it now and have do this with my second license that is not in use, so i will see if they will change this and how fast, if i need it the next days for my regular license.

The stupid thing is now, where you no more can do it yourself and you want to change the URL you must wait for them and if they then change it as you are not there then the old license is invalid and then this will display the "Powered by Hostbill" Link on your Owned, No-Branded HostBill License and then your customers can see this otherwise you have to take HB on maintenance mode and this is also stupid as you can no more sell.

On every license problem, where it say license invalid it will then displays the powered by Hostbill link on the footer

I agree, Danny. It is frustrating and can cause reputation issues. Perhaps it might be worth raising this concern with HB,

Only for information: It is now possible again, that you can change IP, URL and folder yourself. Good that they have changed this back!
