Synchronize domain expiration dates with registrars

All,

I noticed that this task (Synchronize domain expiration dates with registrars) is set to run every hour.  I think that it does and a manual execution test in Tasks also shows that it works but it does not synchronise any of the domain we have.

Does this only synchronise when they get close to expiry?  My newest domain is around 4 months away.

Any ideas?  Is this normal operation?
Kind regards,

I can't answer for sure because we also use the manual registrar for one of our .tlds and the synchronisation function has always been hot and miss for us to the point where we manually review the domains ourselves.

I can confirm that it seems to pick domains that are close to expiry or newly registered.
Please be warned that some of Hostbill's own domain handlers do not work with Synchronization; e.g. the InternetX module keeps resetting the domains to their next renewal date as the provider works exactly like a registry. This causes all sorts of trouble for customers who already paid only to see Hostbill delete their domain anyway...

It repeatedly drops out of cron for me, really irritating

Thanks All.

I don't see the function dropping from the cron but it does seem to bot be checking for domain registration in a visible way.  Ill keep looking.
