Sliders on Web Page

I wanted to get the Hostbill sliders onto a regular web page instead of linking it directly to the shopping cart or client area. Is there some way to cut/paste the code? How do I do this?

Thanks!

Lawrence

The only way I know if is if you make your own sliders and have them link up directly to the order page / option chosen when a user clicks "Submit" or "Order". Other than that, you could also just do a custom design of your HostBill template and use HostBill as your portal and website at the same time.

I don't think it's possible to have an external order sheet that's integrated with HostBill, the two would have to be separate. You could refer to the .tpl and .css files in the order pages, but other than that you might be at a loss / would need something custom.

Here's an idea for that other website. A sort of widget if you will...

Take a screenie of the order page with the sliders, and insert that as an image map onto the other sites page with any custom text advertising it, etc.

When someone clicks on it they will be taken to the HostBill order page directly.

Sort of a graphics based doorway page, if you will.

Will that work for you?

There are ways but you are overcomplicating yourself but using the hostbill sliders in the first place.

There are hundreds of free ways to create your own sliders on your page. I would not use them inside Hostbill, but create your own ones and then link them directly to the order page or product you want. This will allow you the freedom to use them where you want.

Of course you can also just copy the code from the hostbill ones and make sure it loads everything from there. Your choice really.

Hi @Nibb,

Can you provide a couple of practical examples with code in the howto section of these forums? That would be swell to have some code examples in sample pages that people could tweak/customize for their own purposes - especially since it should work on websites external to even the domain :)
