Best credit/debit card processor?

Hi,

Do you accept credit and debit cards?  If so, what provider do you use and why?  Do you use an all in one setup (merchant account & card processing) or a two tiered setup (e.g. card processed by company A and merchant bank account with company B)?

I am using the term 'best' as in your opinion.

We used to use Barclays ePDQ (UK) which was there online credit/debit handling service.  in 2012 we decided to leave them as the integration aggravation and the never-ending fees was unbearable.  Before that we used 2Checkout.com which had similar issues.

We have reverted to direct Bank Transfers, Standing Order and PayPal as a choice - although we incentives and encourage the first two options.

Sorry not to be much help here - all I can say is that our impression of credit/debit card handlers has not been great!  Mix that with most of our customer happy to utilise Bank Transfers means we are not looking to get back into that usage.
