As per the Hostbill SolusVM description (http://hostbillapp.com/features/apps/solusvm.html), it's possible to up and downgrade resources of a SolusVM container.

But I can't manage to upgrade and downgrade resources. It's possible to up and downgrade resources of a virtual datacenter, but not uf a container, no matter if the vm  is built in a virtual datacenter (Cloud Hosting) or as a single virtual server. There is an "Upgrade" button, but when i click on it, i just see a message:

"Its not possible to upgrade this package at this moment. Please contact us to change your resource limits."

Does anyone know if this is a bug, or if it's not possible for the customer to upgrade resources within the customer area?

Depending on how you have it setup. most containers you should have no issue changing the resources also warn about downgrading for data loss is possible. You have to set the options as well as the smaller and bigger packages to allow the changes. Dont forget a reboot is usually necessary for changes to take effect.

I dont want to have "fixed" packages. Customer should be able to choose CPU, RAM and HD. So there's basically only one package, and the customer is allowed to choose resources in the order page.

but as i said, like this, customer is not able to change resources within the same package after the order is placed.

Does up and downgrade only work if you upgrade to another package with fixed resources, and not within the same package?

No the cloud feature is setup to allocate a certain amount of resources to a vm or vms if the client doesn't have resources then he would have to order more up to the package limit you set. Our cloud orders work this way we sell resources and clients make the vms how they want a vps is setup with upgrade or downgrades to the packages we have set.

As you can see in the attached screenshot, customer with a cloud hosting, one server, but no button for upgrade/downgrade resources!

Bug?

You should have a scale option what modules and order pages are you using?

I tried several different order pages, the same with all of them.

Modules: SolusVM
Version: 1.11.8

Is this the most current module version?

Hostbill is 2014-07-11

In the Product configuration, i connected the product to the SolusVM app (printscreen attached). Everything else is working fine (provisioning, reboot, destroy, etc), it's only the scale option that i dont see.

i just discovered one more thing when i compared your screenshot with my view.

In your screenshots, there are 4 tabs on the top right: overview, network, storage and usage tabs

In my portal, i only see overview and usage. No network, no storage. printscreen attached
