Considering the helpful nature of these forums, and the move that many have or are making to WHMCS and Blesta, I would like to see this same community of people be able to address their issues with the friendly and familiar people they are used to dealing with by being able to interface with them regarding WHMCS and Blesta on boards dedicated to those HostBill[ing] platforms right here at HostBillForums.com.

I thought that I would suggest that now since Lawrence recently posted that he's going to be jockying the location of boards around some here and he might as well do so with this in mind, that these forums will continue to service a purpose long after kbkp and the HostBill app cease to exist.

Sure, there are support forums for those products sponsored by their respective vendors and sure we use those too. But this is an independant venue capable of accommodating users from an independent standpoint where their fellow hosting providers are able to work with them in the trenches independent of whether someone is operating a particular platform, or a mix of two or more, and still be able to interface with that one single community of providers.

I'll +1 this suggestion.

Maybe a Board for "Other Billing Systems"
With: WHMCS, Blesta, WHSuite, BoxBilling, and AWBS to start?

It should be made very clear though that this is not the support forum for those systems, and provide links to the official sites/forums, otherwise it'll make too much work of Lawrence, and confusion for newbies.

I personally feel it would be a conflict of interest. You're all free to flex your freedom of speech in regards to bringing up other billing systems in topics, but I don't want to make any endorsements of other billing systems by adding other boards related to those systems.

As I procrastinate some more, I do have plans in the works which would work in with what you're saying, but I just need to find the time to set them all in motion.

Anyone else is free to discuss this topic. I'll leave it open to debate.

Hey Lawrence.  Don't feel to bad about the procrastination, we're all busy, and you've probably done more to keep the community going that anyone else.

I get what you're saying about not promoting other billing systems, but IMO the #1 promoter of "other Billing Systems" right now is KBKP.  ;D

Sadly you're right.  This forum being up is a sad misdirect advertisement for other panels.  I do agree though, i wouldn't mind seeing a 3rd party community to helping WHMCS, Blesta, Hostbill, Boxbilling, ClientExec, Ubersmith customers.  A powerful community could lead to powerful modules, outcomes and even a better united software in the end

Yeah, think of LQ for billing systems. their model is more popular than many of the distro vendor's boards themselves.

Im actually in the process of setting up a tech website which will also include forums - possibly IPB for the ofurm area. If anyone is interested in help setting this up, feel free to shout - not enough time in a 24 hour day and all that!

You're welcome to tell everyone about it, but just getting the word out there that I have something coming up I don't want  to give details bout just yet. It should go in the off topic section when you're done with it. Only post complete websites.
