Is there any way to directly link a hidden order page and have the products show up?

When I directly link to an order page set as hidden, the page indicates that no products have been added yet to the page.  Is there any way to have a direct order page similar to direct product pages?

Create a direct link and use that. You have the option in hostbill for packages to create the links you have to enable it first. Here is the module name Custom Direct Cart links

You can hide the order page, or the product.

Hidden Orderpages - Clients can order the products, but can't navigate directly to the order pages.
Hidden Products - Clients can see the order pages, but can't order the products.

So what? Knowing the URL won't do someone any good?

Now, I really have no idea what good a product like that would be. it exists but someone can't order it. What would someone create an order page like that?

And how is that different from simply setting inventory control and setting the current stock to 0?

Okay so I'm looking at this as a scenario, since I'm looking do do this shortly as well...

  • hostbill is at myco.com
  • website that visitors will see and choose products from is at otherco.com
  • Create a product, with a hidden order page, and then
  • Create a Direct Cart link to that hidden order page
  • Create a graphic at otherco.com w/an image map linking to the hidden order page?
  • Customer clicks on image, is taken to hidden order page at myco.com, and completes order.

Is that correct?
Is that the best way?
Is there a better way?

I'm preparing to do this shortly so I'm really wondering if that's correct, and/or anything else I need to pay attention to.

You can create the order page and product then create/generate the direct link. Then add that link to your other site in the image. When the client clicks on that it will put them to the correct order page.

You should see a warning like this when hiding the product.

Note: This product is currently hidden. Ordering is only possible using Direct Cart link. Show Product

Tallship,

I think enterprise misread what you are trying to accomplish and we are looking to do the exact same thing and it does not work.

At least in the latest hostbill 4.7.6 with the modernpanel theme, if you directlink to a hidden order page, the web page returns that no products exist and merely provides a link to unhidden order pages.

Linking directly to a specific PRODUCT contained on a hidden order page does work, but from my experience, linking to a hidden ORDER page DOES NOT work.

If someone knows otherwise or if this is theme related and when/if we create our own theme we can change this behavior, I would appreciate any insight that can be provided.

Enterprisevpssolutions

Wondering what error are you receiving. I just tested with a hidden order page and hidden product on that order page with the directlink and it works for me see examples these are both hidden pages and products at the same time. Some ordering pages with some themes do not work correctly.

Direct Cart Link https://enterprisevpssolutions.com/evdsportal/?cmd=cart&action=add&id=108

Direct Cart Link https://enterprisevpssolutions.com/evdsportal/?cmd=cart&action=add&id=107

Direct Cart Link https://enterprisevpssolutions.com/evdsportal/?cmd=cart&action=add&id=102

You can try to search for the order page when you have selected another product and will see that it will not show up, but if you use the link it will.

Please let me know if i can explain a little better my english is not the best.

Hi,

These links are direct cart links to products.  We are able to have these function perfectly fine as well.  The issue is that I (and I believe TallShip) want to link to a hidden ORDER page where multiple products can be selected.

I am preferring not to post a link to our particular web site and problem, but the general concept would be if you went to edit order page on your hidden order page, there would be a url in there.  If you attempt to navigate to that url, it is most likely going to say no products available, even if the products on that hidden order page are not hidden.  The url is more of a standard SEO friendly format (depending on your HostBill SEO settings)...

https://ourdomain.com/cart/orderpagename/

This differs from the direct product links that have the whole action querystring and product id like your direct PRODUCT urls.

Direct link for domain-only products are not provided but it's possible. Just get a public order page and replace its ID with your domain-only order page.
