Oh boy... https://hostbillapp.com/clientarea/?/software_store/

Does this mean our modern panel will no longer receive updates? or VPS hardware order page or just about any of the now "premium" themes and everything else.

I'm absolutely afraid to update anymore, i don't want to loose any of what we already have including our live chat.   Sad part is, we have no way to contact them to ask... how sad is that

This one caught me completely by surprise. Many of our businesses have revolved around what we currently have, including order pages and templates, and other modules. Now if there's a critical security update, we'd have to pay for all the modules that need these updates. We're looking at what, $6,000-$8,000? Rough estimate.

If you want future updates, it sure seems that way.  Someone needs to figure out how to communicate with them as an existing customer and ask about if we're still going to receive updates to our stuff and that it's not going to be deleted now that it's become "premium"  Just about everything they charge premium for now, we use.  Not to mention with all this i figured cost of hostbill would go down to a more realistic number without 70% of it's included software.

I want everyone to discuss this so i created a sticky to gain attention to this thread.  This absolutely needs to be discussed as i'd bet my own money most of us use something that is in the premium category now

Okay did a quick tally, the amount we all need to spend to have the same functionality of the previous version of HostBill comes to $3,597.35.

Don't even know what to say right now.  I know i need one feature that has been added "Added: Settings: Remove/Allow html tags in imported ticket messages" but i'm not updating until i know this crap isn't being deleted

I'm going to update a test HostBill website and see the functionality afterwards. It seems from the new file structure the templates and modules were just deleted from their respective directories, so they shouldn't be affected. (Unless the new versions lock out the old extensions and orderpages)

I'm so glad you have an opportunity to do that.  Please let me/us know how it goes.  Check live chat, modules, order pages.  Make sure nothing was deleted/locked out.  Even modern panel is now premium and a HEAVY price tag.  Considering the work we've now put in to modern panel if it was removed on us i'd be dropping a world of hurt on them.

Anyone that bought version 4.5.8 or earlier that had previously included functionality, I'm thinking this should be grandfathered. Does anyone know if there're any legalities involved? I don't want to be stuck without a security update. This is serious.

I'm going to upgrade my test website.

Legalities such as our continued use of these "premium" products?  If that's what you're asking, we're safe to continue using them as it's what came with our legal purchase.  Future security updates SHOULD be included but knowing them, they won't offer it to existing owners.  The potential security issues is fairly large without future security updates.

Just upgraded our development environment. All modules/product pages were there but it does say if you want additional ones (I assume ones released in the near future) will cost us money.

Could you please take a screenshot and upload it here?  I'm also curious if you tested live chat and other premium modules to ensure those continue to work
