Can someone confirm this for me?

Patrick

I'm going to assume most everyone has an account setup for themselves on their own system or a demo account to view the client area, so can you please do me a favor?

This is for those using "Modern Panel" theme

Make sure no invoices are unpaid (no open invoices) add any dollar amount of credit.  Can be $0.50 to $10000.  Login as client.  Do you see on the right side the credit amount as "un-paid invoices" ?
I already reported the bug and it's causing quite some confusion among my customers that have credit or those who are adding funds to their accounts and now showing they have unpaid invoices.

Well, I sort of cheated. I just added a $5.00 credit to the user and it shows a $5.00 in the dummy user's dashboard, and for invoices....

I don't know if this helps you out or not Patrick, but if someone else can test it I'll be happy to vote that bug up if we can verify it with anyone else. I don't have another PayPal account I can use to follow the steps you outlined at this time, since it's asking me for a credit card to verify on that one, and I'll have to ask that bank for another card for that now mostly dormant NPO.

Does that error show when the user simply goes to their dashboard? Or does it show a credit like the screenie in this post?

BTW, the twitter plugin now seems to be working in modernpanel for me too.

I can't seem to recreate this error. But in my situation:

1.) User created
2.) Credit added
3.) Service ordered
4.) Subtracted from credit

Your using the new *modernpanel* Client Area template, selected from Settings ==> General settings, right?

You're not using modernpanel :)  I'll have to go over the template file and see what's going on if it's something encoded or something done via smarty.  I didn't update the template files during the last update because i had some fixes i had to do to them that Kris forgot about that i outlined in the guides section.  It should be showing like Cloudrck's screenshot but it's not.  Though it also shouldn't be saying "Balance" as that indicates a balance owing.

Thanks for looking in to it everyone, i appreciate it

I won't lock this thread just yet, but i corrected the issue as it's a template problem with mine.  In addition i decided to kind of add to it while i was fixing it.  So i added a little contributed code for anyone who would like to use it. here

Oh, my der...

I'll head on over right now and vote that bug up for you. Mine doesn't say "unpaid invoices, but like @Cloudrck's screenshot, it mine says 'balance' instead of 'credit'.

The modernpanel is very buggy.

When the sidepad panel was introduce I wanted to use it and then noticed that some visuals things where gone like the Quote button message on the customer side on tickets.

I clicked here and there in the ModernPanel for 10 minutes and noticed several visual bugs on it.

I wanted to use it, but its very buggy. I know some like to use every new theme Hostbill creates, but to be honest I would refrain from using it, as each new one has new bugs which are not there in themes before, like Nextgen, it seems those had better quality in terms of having all hostbill features integrated in the theme.

Not at least until tons of users use them and have reported bugs. It would not surprise me if you find something working strangely on the new theme.

While it looks very eye candy, the more complicated a theme is in terms of CSS, Javascript, etc, the more possible conflicts it will have with a potential hostbill feature.

The problem I had with this theme is that somethings are too small and text is not fitting in some places. Its a sloppy work and details and corners are not polished nicely.

Modernpanel was easy to fix up.  I even provided some minor tweaks on these forums for it.  It works very well and we have no plans to switch from it unless we buy a new software.  For me, modern panel was the least buggy of all of the ones released.  sidepanel was a disaster to be completely honest.  A lot of widening the divs to fit things and other fixes.

Well, Modernpanel will work fine in English, but some languages are longer and then it does not fit.

Example, the domains lists usually when there are days for expiration have a message next to them telling how long until they expired. Check it out, because it does not fit in the view list of domains, the message is cut out.

I really wanted to use SidePanel for one reasons.

All themes have the menu in the top. I really wanted and need a menu on the side. SidePanel is the only one.

I was even thinking of taking the sidepanel menu (just the menu) and merge it into modernpanel but I guess it would plenty of work.

Yeah i have a few domains coming up for renewal myself which is where i first seen that the day modernpanel was released.  That was a simple, simple fix in the language files.  I shorted the message.  Can be shortened like i did or lower the font size.  Like i said, simple fixes.  It's too nice a theme not to do the fixes yourself.  It's the nicest one yet and the templates are very easy to work with.  Smarty is fun to work with
