Hi all,

We want to use a VPS with cPanel DNSonly clustered with our main DNS servers (ns1.domain.com and ns2.domain.com) and offer a DNS management service as free with domain registration.

Is possible to use cPanel DNSonly or should we use cPanel to configure it with Hostbill? It appears to need a reseller account with root privileges to work ( http://hostbillapp.com/features/apps/cpaneldns.html )

We use ResellerClub for domains and Hostbill adds their service when you click DNS management at client area. Is this possible with cPanel DNS or should we use it as another product?

Thank you.

Kind regards,

Nicman

Hi,

You need a normal Cpanel server, where you log in with a WHM account, so you can relay the DNS changes into the cluster.

You can't just use Cpanel DNS Only! alone.

If you want you can use your root login to your webserver, but it's safer to make an reseller account just for that.

The DNS management plugin won't create accounts on your webserver, only create DNS values in the cluster :)

Hope it helps.
