Hi,

Does anyone know how to change the display page that is launched when a client clicks 'Place an order'?

We would prefer a page that has a full list of services, icons and 'from £PRICE' to the limited option we have now.

Our clients hate it. We have had three potential clients tell us that they found it confusing as it took them straight to the SSL order page and not to a general/list page.

Surely we cannot be the only people who face this issue?

Can you send me the link to look at? Just so I can see, understand from a client perspective?
Kind regards,

Within Hostbill, not the site.

Main client area - https://fuse.fusionhost.co.uk

Click 'Place new order' and you are sent to the SSL page on every single Hostbill installation that I have seen.

Thank you - I understand.

Do you know what, whether using HostBill or WHMCS, we all always had this problem.  Even with WHMCS we had to get a different ordering template that allowed people to easily view and select (intuitively) their service when ending up on the cart page.  You can get a feel here by looking at ours - https://clients.sanechoice.com/cart.php.  (NOTE: this is a WHMCS engine).

We never solved it without a custom designed template unfortunately.  Having said that, I don't think its impossible to solve.  I just don't know the best way of doing this.
Kind regards,

Is there a specific reason you want to keep that welcome page? It's not too hard to replace the welcome page completely with your own custom layout and to revamp the logged-in client area too through a custom theme.
On my installation, the regular Hostbill order process is completely hidden away behind a layer of direct links, custom theme, a plugin for multilingual/multivat handling and custom page generation code.
Unlike fusionhost's method, we can then run everything through Hostbill without a hostbill-specific subdomain which makes maintenance easier and the page imho a bit less confusing.

I have attached some screenshots to display how far you can rewrite the order layout for an example order of a domain. I've just removed our company logo  for my own peace of mind.

PS: I'm willing to share any information on how I modified certain parts. Just ask for the details if interested!
