[Approved] Return to forum message upon post instead of forum index

Hi,

I *think* we had this configured as the default before but I'm certain. I know we've been adding a lot here, so I first went and checked my profile to see if there was an option I needed to enable to do this but didn't find one.

Right now, when you post a message, the board sends you back to the forum or sub-forum index. It would be nice (Preferable IMO) to have the board send the user back to the forum and message they just posted instead of the index.

Most forum boards do it this way, and I can learn to deal with it, but to me it makes more sense to be re-directed back to the post, since most folks like to read their post just to make sure it looks the way they intended so they know whether they need to edit it or not.

Okay this is both a response and a test. I've updated the default setting to return users to the topic after posting.

[Update] Okay it works. By default users will be returned to the topic they've just posted in. You can update your settings here,
- http:// www . hostbillforums.com/index.php?action=profile;area=theme;u=???

Replace the ? ? ? with your user ID.

It does make more sense to return users to the topics. Let me know if this is working for you TallShip.

I just set this in my account settings as it wasn't set to default, but since it's now default it of course should fix this issue for those who don't know how to edit their account settings

Alrighty I feel I can safely lock this topic and mark it as approved. If anything, feel free to open up another one!
