After igration to another VPS page load is very slow !

Hello,

I migrated the VPS where hostbill is installed to another VPS on the same datacenter close to my home location and hostbill load very slow now, all my other websites are running smooth, system is stable, network speed is high! Everything is set, no errors but the pages are loading very slow now. I need to do some fix but I don't know where, anyone have this problem before ? I need urgent solution.

I had a similar issue of slow loading pages on hostbill.   Other websites were fine, so here's two things I did that appear to have improved performance:

1. I cleaned up all the system logs, deleted everything older than 30 days.  After doing this I saw a much faster response when changing pages, though I can't understand why.

2. When initially opening the hostbill website, it was extraordinarily slow (I mean slow! like 30-60secs+) and often required me to refresh the url before the webpage loaded.   On a whim, I went into my anti-virus package (Avast) and put in an exclusion for the hostbill url, since doing that the webpages load in an acceptable normal manner.  Sometimes its still slow and I can attribute some of that to network performance, but at least now I don't need to refresh the url before seeing the login page.

I can't say for certain if these 'fixes' will be of any help to you, but I can say I have seen a noticable improvement since doing them on my machine.
